"Waimea Bay" - (Places Close to Home) - New Series

Aloha Friends,

As I have been going through my old files, several themes are emerging that over several years have been ongoing and continuous. The first is mental illness, mental health and the wide range of mental experiences in between. These works often include portraits and abstracted images that represent and explore the mental health spectrum. On The Spectrum includes a collection of abstracted prints that go through the alphabet of mental health. To read more about it Start Here.

Places Close to Home is the second emerging theme. It is my most recent work in progress and is a collection of drawings and paintings that explore home as not necessarily a physical place, but as a feeling and an experience. This series is closely tied to the On The Spectrum series.  Places Close to Home are the places and events that one might experience that helps define who they are and where they fall  On the Spectrum.

Right now Places Close to Home includes only personal places and experiences but in the future will include selected places and experiences of people who inspired each letter in On The Spectrum.
