"Meh" Prints! Now in a Variety of Colors!

Aloha Friends!

I got some quality time in the studio this last weekend and am working on a fun, new print series! This is "Meh!" He's a fun little guy, who I doodle all the time, to help me get through those "Meh" moments... during meetings, waiting in line, trying to stay focused, whenever! "Meh" prints and cards will be available at the Honolulu Printmakers Annual Sale in November. Check it out!

I'll be keeping you updated as soon as I get more prints and bags! As I get inventory re-stocked I'll be re-opening my online store and posting times and events I'll be at to sell! "Lucky Catacles"

Aloha Friends!

I am working on a new series of prints and I wanted to share some of my progress with you, from conception to completion. This is my "step by step" process! p.s. these prints and more will be in the at the Honolulu Printmakers Annual sale! Check it out!

First Step: Draw during all your meetings.

Second Step: Make a vector image (maybe add a background).

Step Three: Get yourself into the studio (this step is the hardest!).

Step Four: Instagram! (Don't lie, you all do it)

"The Waves on the Sea"

I just finished a new drawing "The Waves on the Sea." this last year has brought a lot of change and growth and I see that movement like the waves on the sea; constant, beautiful and healing. Tote Bags Mock Ups! (Vote for your favorite to win!)

I have been working like a flying fish on some of these new designs! I got a GREAT response to the Aloha print so I have decided to transfer it to a tote bag! Big Mahalo!

Official Sunday Stingray Poster!

Aloha Friends!

I am so pleased to announce that I have official Sunday Stingray prints up and ready for sale! It's been absolutely wonderful to be able to dive right into making things and to have a printer located right around the corner! This poster is the first in a series that expresses my love for all things Hawaii and spreads some Aloha (hopefully!)

I want to take this time to talk a little bit about Sunday Stingray's motto: Float on, float on. My goal with creating Sunday Stingray is to spread a little Aloha with every print, shirt, sticker, postcard, etc. Sometimes life gets you down, things don't go as planned and it's hard to keep going. In those moments you just have to keep movin', keep hustlin', keep workin'. Just float on friend, keep floatin' on.

The photo used in the poster is one of my favorite photos that I took on Kaho'olawe last year. That's right, the "forbidden" Hawaiian island, visits are by invitation only! I was truly blessed to be able to go there and do some work to help restore the 'aina! I think my experience on Kaho'olawe best expresses my motto: float on. You can be bombed, ruined, over run by people and goats and there will still be people who band together to help you heal and grow.

Aloha Print Design!

I am so blessed to be able to live a life filled with Aloha! Living on Oahu I feel it everyday! I made this print (coming soon!) to compete my Hawaiian Days of the Week print series. The design in the background is inspired by traditional Hawaiian and Polynesian tattoo designs. The triangles symbolize mountains and shark's teeth and the Monstera Leaves are common ground plants (sky = mountains, plants = earth and sea = shark's teeth)!

Easy Like Lâpule Morning!

The prints are coming along! I have all backgrounds finished plus Saturday and Sunday (since it's the weekend duh!) ;) It's hard to tell in this photo but each day of the week (the English and pronunciation) will be a color of the rainbow. Sunday = Red, Monday = Orange, Tuesday =Yellow, etc, etc. ROYGBIV forever!

I am so excited to be printing again and seeing old friends and students (who are just about to graduate, I'm so proud!!) in the studio! What a lovely Sunday. Can't wait to finish the rest of the week! Huzzah!
