Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life

I have finally finished my Panel for the Portland Art Center! I spent a good eight hours yesterday finishing up the final little details and as soon as I'm done writing this (and the last of the paint dries) I'll glaze it and take it away. I am a little sad that I won't be able to enjoy it more. I'm really proud of it and I'm relatively sure that it will sell so I think these last few moments will be the last I see it. I've sold plenty of paintings before but because of the short time line to get this done and the long, late hours we've spent together, I feel a little attached. I'll get over it. So here is my progress. This painting is 2'x 2' and each square is a half inch. so that makes what? 2304 squares? eek!
